New welding fume exposure limits could demand the deployment of stringent fume mitigation strategies for your business.

From 1 December 2026, Australia will transition from Workplace Exposure Standards (WES) to Workplace Exposure Limits (WEL) for airborne contaminants. The revised framework introduces new and significantly stricter exposure limits for several contaminants associated with welding and related fabrication processes. Work places should review their exposure risks and control measures, including fume and dust extraction, before the new limits take effect.

With a large two-stage 26m² filter surface, the DualGo delivers high filtration capacity and extended filter life, making it suitable for applications consuming up to 15kg of welding electrodes per month. The DualGo features a “filter full” alarm to simplify maintenance and an integrated spark deflection plate for enhanced safety. This unit is also fitted with an extra powerful fan that allows both extraction arms to operate simultaneously. Arms are available from 2 metre to 4 metre lengths to suit the workspace size and layout.

This easy to operate unit is available in two models; the DualGo and DualGoPlus, with the key difference being the type of extraction arms fitted. The DualGo is fitted with two EconomyArms that use hose tube with an internal spring-balanced support mechanism for easy manoeuvrability. It is recommended for light welding activities and is more suitable for applications where extraction positions are adjusted less frequently. The DualGoPlus is fitted with two KUA extraction arms that utilise durable aluminium tubing. This arm is fitted with an external, easy-to-adjust, spring-assisted elbow joint that is supported with quality double ball bearings. The DualGoPlus is suitable for more demanding welding applications as it provides greater flexibility where extraction arms are repositioned regularly.
