Description

The New Generation Series of axial roof supply air units with bushfire code compliance are fitted with adjustable pitch impellers enabling a wide performance range to be obtained from any one unit. Additional design features have been incorporated to satisfy bushfire code compliance.

Construction of buildings in bushfire prone areas
AS3959:1999 clause 3.9.1.5 “Roof Ventilators” states; All components of roof ventilators in a level 1 construction shall be constructed of non-combustible material and shall be sealed against entry of sparks with corrosion resistant steel or bronze mesh having a maximum aperture size of 1.8mm.

Construction
Cowls are of galvanised steel construction.
Impeller blades can be GRP, or aluminium to suit the application.
Spark protection - bronze mesh with max 1.8mm aperture.
Powder coating is an optional extra.

Motors
Type - squirrel cage induction motor.
Electricity supply - 220-240V single or 415V three-phase to suit a wide range of voltages and frequencies.
Bearings - sealed-for-life, ball.
Speed-controllable using frequency inverters.
Motors are selected to suit the application and can be provided with 2-speed windings.

Internal Thermal Protection
Thermistors can be provided on all motors except where Standards specifically exclude their use.

Testing
Air flow testing to BS848:Part 1, 1980.
Noise testing to BS848:Part 2, 1985.

Special Features
Can be mounted at angles up to 30°.
Wide range of capacities and motor options.
