NATSPEC launches SPECbuilder Pro

SPECbuilder Pro is an easy-to-use Windows-based program.

NATSPEC, the national building specification organisation, has released a new compilation program for commercial building specifications, SPECbuilder Pro.

SPECbuilder Pro is an easy-to-use, Windows-based program that enables subscribers to:

  • Create new specifications using NATSPEC and office-edited work sections.
  • Edit, merge and set styles for specification documents.
  • Organise and add existing project specifications to the project list. It was formally launched by the Victorian Government Minister for Planning, Justin Madden, on August 1st at a cocktail reception at the Windsor Hotel in Melbourne.

Mr Madden addressed more than 160 guests, included representatives of the Office of the Victorian Government Architect; Building Commission, Victoria; The Royal Australian Institute of Architects, Victorian Chapter; Engineers Australia, Victoria Division; Standards Australia; and the Airconditioning & Mechanical Contractors Association of Australia.

NATSPEC is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1975, which compiles a comprehensive national specification system endorsed by government and professionalbodies. NATSPEC’s aims are to provide economies of scale for its shareholders and to improve the quality of construction in Australia via the provision of information, tools, products and services.For the small cost of subscribing to NATSPEC, professionals such as designers, contractors, architects and consulting engineers can access a BCA compliant specification inclusive of the building construction, mechanical services, internal/external finishes, etc.
